Aqua Tofana, A Mini Potion Bottle Fidget
THIS IS NOT POISON.
Aqua Tofana was a poison created by Giulia Tofana, an Italian woman in the 1600s as a response to the fact that women were denied their autonomy and were forced to stay in abusive marriages. She sold it to women in bottles that resembled their cosmetics, or devotional bottles containing the images of St. Nicholas, so that the poison would go unnoticed by the victims. She helped create over 600 happy widows before she was caught and executed in 1676.
My mini potions are designed to be portable fidgets, they are made from thick glass bottles, and are quite durable. They'll still break if dropped onto concrete, but overall will take a bit of a beating.
-Mini glass bottle full of clear potion and tiny glass balls, that turns to a swirling, dark blue purple when shaken. Settles back down to brown in about 15 minutes, will continue to color change indefinitely. Sitting in the potion are tumbled quartz pieces that make a delightful tinkling when shaken.
-Aged label reads Aqua Tofana, and on the back of the label, visible through the settled potion reads CAUTION DEADLY with a skull and crossbones. It's sealed with water-resistant sealant for durability.
-Neck is wrapped in green velvet ribbon threaded through an antique silver bead with a tiny skull charm dangling down.
-Lid is covered in drippy red faux wax, with a silver decorative medallion embedded in the wax.
-Just under 3" (just over 7cm) tall.
-For decoration only, while made with non-toxic ingredients, DO NOT DRINK.
