Essence of Belladonna, Deadly Nightshade, Color Change Potion Bottle
Essence of Atropa Belladonna, also known as Deadly Nightshade, is one of the oldest known potion ingredients, dating back to Roman times. Though it’s one of the required ingredients for Hogwarts students, it’s highly poisonous. In small amounts it produces a very deep sleep, in large amounts it's quite deadly.
-Gorgeous vintage style hexagon shaped glass bottle is affixed with a bronze filigree metal plate. A smaller filigree plate wraps over the cork.
-It’s filled with a very deep burgundy potion- it looks black in the photos and will look almost black in low light. It turns to a swirling dark blue when shaken and settles back to burgundy after about 25 minutes.
-Neck wrapped with aged red jute and red faceted glass beads.
-Hand designed and aged label is printed on recycled paper and sealed with water resistant sealant for durability.
-Aged cork is sealed with waterproof glue and finished with marbled dark red and blue faux wax.
-4 3/4" tall, it's a beautiful stand alone piece, or the highlight in any potion bottle collection.
For decoration only. Not actually belladonna, this is a prop and the potion is non-toxic.
I create life size, realistically magical potions that look like they live in the wizarding world or a wizened old alchemists workshop. They’re intended to look old and worn, while still pretty. I hand age the labels, so they are faded and stained. Some are more stained and older looking than others, your collection will look authentic.
