Water of the River Styx, A Decorative, Color Changing Potion Bottle

The rivers of ancient Greece have many magical properties, and the River Styx is powerful indeed.  Styx is both a Goddess and a river, she separates Olympus from the Underworld.  She's known as the "dread river of oath".  Swearing an oath by her waters is "the greatest and most dread oath for the blessed Gods".  What happens if you break an oath sworn by the waters of Styx?  Not much, only that you'll lie in a coma-like state for a year, followed by nine years of banishment from the company of the Gods.

-Tall glass bottle filled with dread black water with clear orbs suspended in it, when tipped or shaken, the orbs swirl with silvery whisps, mixing with the black to create a shimmery charcoal color.  Settles back down to black in about 30 minutes. Will continue to color change indefinitely.

-Two aged labels, one reading: Water of River Styx, An oath sworn by the inviolable water of Styx is the greatest and most dread oath. For use in truthfulness and protection draughts", and the other a Greek scene of a funeral procession.  Labels are sealed with water-resistant sealant, for durability.

-Coins are required to pay the ferryman for a soul to cross over into the underworld, so this potion comes with two coins.  One is bronze, and has Charybdis on one side and Kraken on the other. The other is pewter and has Cerberus on one side and a pile of skulls on the other.  These are very nice quality embossed coins, and I've put them in a faux leather braided pouch.  This pouch is held shut with a series of antique silver beads, and can easily be removed from the bottle and worn as a necklace or wrapped around your wrist. Pouch can easily be opened to remove coins.

-Neck is wrapped with aged blue twine and the black faux leather coin pouch.

-Aged cork is sealed with waterproof glue, and black/blue/silver marbled faux wax.

-About 7 1/2" tall, this will be a standout in your collection!

I create life size, realistically magical potions that look like they live in the wizarding world or a wizened old alchemists workshop. They’re intended to look old and worn, while still pretty.
